The five questions every LED client asks
2 min read · By 212 Visual
LED proposals live or die in a predictable meeting. Different clients, different verticals, same five questions. Walk in with the answers already built into the proposal and the conversation moves from whether to when.
Will it be bright enough
Answer with the environment, not the datasheet: measured ambient light, the viewing positions that matter, and headroom for the sunniest hour of the year. Then say the nit number once, as confirmation.
What happens when it breaks
This is the question they are most afraid to ask and the easiest to win. Monitoring, spares on the shelf, scheduled windows, a named response time. A one-page service story beats a warranty PDF every time.
What will it play
Never say anything you want. Show a launch content plan for their brand on their canvas, and a refresh cadence with an owner. The clients who ask this have all seen a beautiful wall running a screensaver.
How long will it last
Give the honest service-life story: diode aging, brightness headroom reserved at calibration, and what year seven looks like with and without a care plan. Honesty here is what makes the rest of the proposal believable.
Why this price
Walk the system line by line: structure, power, processing, install, commissioning, content, care. When every line has a reason, the total stops being a negotiation target and becomes a specification.
The meeting after the meeting
Remember that your champion has to re-run this meeting without you, upstairs, with people you will never meet. Build the leave-behind for that room: one page, the five answers in plain language, the system price with its reasons, a photo of a comparable installation. The proposal that survives the meeting after the meeting is the one written for the person who has to defend it.
The proposal that answers the unasked questions is the one that gets forwarded upward unedited.
